Toronto, 2025-01-23 — Linux Professional Institute (LPI) has announced the launch of digital badges with Credly by Pearson (Credly). The initiative aims to make it easier for candidates who have successfully earned an LPI certification to prove their achievement with verified digital credentials.
“By providing secure, digital representations of our certifications, Linux Professional Institute is empowering open source professionals to better showcase their verified skills and achievements,” said G. Matthew Rice, Executive Director of LPI. “These digital badges make it easier for individuals to share their expertise across professional networks, social media platforms, and on their resumes. For employers, the badges simplify identifying and verifying skilled talent for their teams.”
LPI is partnering with Credly to issue these digital credentials. Credly collaborates with leading training providers, certification bodies, and educational institutions worldwide to translate skills and achievements into trusted, portable digital credentials. Through this partnership, LPI certification holders will gain access to a platform that helps them connect with learning and career opportunities in the open-source ecosystem.
