Why I Joined the LPI Board of Directors — Uirá Ribeiro

Since I began my journey with Linux and open-source software, I have always seen LPI as a fundamental pillar in shaping IT professionals. My involvement with Linux certifications started more than two decades ago when I published my book regarding Linux Certification, and over the years, I have witnessed firsthand the impact that a well-structured certification can have on a professional’s career. Joining the LPI Board was an opportunity to contribute directly to the evolution of this ecosystem and ensure that the certification remains accessible, relevant, and aligned with real market needs.

My Main Goal on the LPI Board

My main goal on the Board is to expand the reach and relevance of LPI certifications, ensuring that more professionals around the world have access to high-quality certifications that truly boost their careers. I want to further strengthen the link between the open-source community and the job market, making LPI an even greater reference in Linux certifications and open-source technologies.
