LPI at PSITE ’24: Championing IT Certification

This March, Linux Professional Institute (LPI) was thrilled to participate in the Philippine Society of IT Educators’ (PSITE) National Convention 2024 at the Mallberry Suites Business Hotel in Cagayan De Oro City, Philippines. The convention, themed “New Era of Education: PSITE’s Leadership in Embracing AI in Higher Learning,” drew over a thousand IT educators, deans, and university executives.

Empowering IT Educators and Students in the Philippines

LPI showcased the benefits of its certification programs at the convention, highlighting how they prepare students for the demanding IT landscape. We offered schools the chance to join LPI’s expansive network.

Insightful Exchanges and Engagements

The convention facilitated insightful discussions on AI, IT Security, and other critical tech areas, with contributions from esteemed speakers across the globe. As LPI’s Partner Development Executive, I was excited to deliver a compelling talk on “Mastering Excellence: Training and Certification Strategies for Professional Advancement,” focusing on upskilling members in open source technologies.

Enhancing Collaborative Relationships with LPI Partners in the area

The event was not just about showcasing LPI’s offer and values, but also about building lasting connections. Numerous institutions expressed their interest in partnering with LPI, recognizing the value of Linux and open-source education. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between LPI and the PSITE Directors on the last day, marking a significant milestone in fostering academic partnerships.
