Linux Professional Institute East Africa, in partnership with the East African open source community, is delighted to invite you to the inaugural East African Conference on Open Source to be held August 26 – 29, 2019, at USIU-Africa (United States International University).
Knowledge Share. Network. Collaborate.
This event will bring together the players in the regional technology community to facilitate knowledge sharing, networking and collaboration opportunities. It will also create a platform of engagement between the technology industry, Government and Academia – the triple helix.
The primary goal of EACOS-2019 is to increase the awareness, integration and adoption of open source in East Africa within the theme of Open Source, the Big Four Agenda and African Development, emphasising how the open source way can contribute to African Development by providing a platform to take advantage of the 4th Industrial Revolution, developing local skills capacity and saving costs.
