LPI East Africa Conference on Open Source (EACOS 2022)

Join Linux Professional Institute (LPI) East Africa Conference on Open Source (EACOS), taking place virtually, April 26 – 27, 2022. EACOS 2022 aims to bring together the players in the regional technology sector, the Government and Academia (the triple helix) to share knowledge, network and acquire new skills.
This conference will emphasize how open source software can be used to help run the public sector more efficiently and save resources that can be employed in other sectors such as health, education, infrastructure and development, while developing local capacities for software development. Our talks will be presented by Government, Academia, and Industry professionals. With a mix of expert panels and breakout sessions, there will be lots of opportunities to ask questions.
Our goals are to;
- increase the awareness, integration, and adoption of open source in the public sector and Government institutions
- emphasize how open source software can be used to help run the public sector more efficiently and cost effectively
- showcase local companies and consultants offering open source solutions
- provide a platform for local companies offering open source solutions to engage the public sector ICT officers with a bid to form an open source action plan
